Greezer is done for what needs to get into the portfolio.
I got the UT3 Sweeney model into UDK with better lighting and whatnot. So, here are the portfolio pages for that. Still working on the overall layout though. This is taking far long than I was expecting. Blast my terrible graphic design skills.
And here is the current layout to my portfolio. I’m printing it out in a book from http://www.blurb.com. There are a lot of changes yet to be made, but the basic template is there, sans the Tim Sweeney skin. Let me know what you think of the selections and organization so far.
Greezer is posed and pretty close to done. I also went in and started to finish up the Leonardo sculpt from a while back. These are also both being used as test renders at the moment, since exporting and compositing out of Zbrush is new to me. What do you think?

The modeling is essentially done at this point. Next step is to pose him and do additional detail sculpting after that (where fabric folds and muscles flex, etc).
Since I want this to be the headliner of the 3D section to my portfolio, I’ve been trying to get him as far along as I can. This week was a lot of refreshing myself with Zbrush and adding little details all over Greezer. I’ve started work on his robotic arms. The biggest challenge so far is trying to do hard surface modeling in Zbrush. It’s possible, but damn is it difficult on the first try. I’m going to try to have his model done by next week. Posing him is another question. If his arms aren’t portfolio-quality by then, I’ll just pose the body without attachments.
